SUZUKI INAZUMA 250 COMING IN AUTO EXPO 2012

SUZUKI INAZUMA 250 COMING IN AUTO EXPO 2012

At the 2012 Indian Auto -Expo , Suzuki looks certain to finally take the plunge into the sub-250cc performance motorcycle segment. It has only recently unveiled the Inazuma 250 to the UK audience

The Inazuma 250's styling is inspired from the B-King (the Hayabusa-based monstrous naked, for those who don't recollect) and while the looks can be described as conservative at best, it's not one bit offensive. And then there's the small matter of those twin tailpipes – an India first, at least in the non-import class – which, despite the weight gain, is bound to become an instant hit with boy racers. While the front forks are, expectedly, conventional ( not upside down, that is ), the rear sports a monoshock and there's a disc each at the front and rear.

Technical specifications for the Suzuki  Inazuma 250 have yet to be announced, so it’s not known whether it will differ much mechanically from the GW250. Visually, the GW250 & the Inazuma 250 are identical, drawing styling cues from the Suzuki B-King.
What we do know is the Inazuma 250 is powered by a new liquid-cooled SOHC parallel Twin engine with a six-speed transmission. Suzuki tuned the engine to optimize performance at low- and mid-range speeds, making it an appealing option for new riders in urban stop-and-go traffic.

Helping make the Inazuma 250 more newbie-friendly is a new instrument panel with gear indicator, service reminder and a three-mode RPM indicator which suggests when to change gears to optimize fuel economy or performance.

Pricing information has yet to be announced but the U.K.’s MCN reports Suzuki aims to undercut the Kawasaki Ninja 250R and Honda CBR250R.

SUZUKI GOING TO LAUNCH A AUTOMATIC SCOOTER AT AUTO EXPO

SUZUKI GOING TO LAUNCH A AUTOMATIC SCOOTER AT AUTO EXPO

The Suzuki Access 125, Suzuki’s offering Access 125 in India only scooter segment , is a well sorted out and capable machine. The scooter is powerful enough to ‘smoke’ most Indian economy class commuter motorcycles at the traffic light drags. Now, comes the criticism- Access 125 looks very boring and bland. It Due to the high demand, Access 125 has a long waiting period of over 3 months at most of the places. The popularity of the scooter has encouraged Suzuki to consider introducing one more automatic scooter in the market. We could not manage to find the specifications and pricing of the upcoming scooter but we are pretty sure that Suzuki would be unveiling this new scooter at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2012. This was told to the media by Mr. Atul Gupta, VP (marketing and sales),Suzuki Motorcycles India. He said, ’‘We cannot cope with the demand with our single scooter offering, Access 125. So we plan to come out with a second model, which will be launched during the upcoming Auto Expo.”
